During the Blue Knights Southwest Conference, a ride was sponsored to the Taos Pueblo.
Taos Pueblo is the only living Native American community designated both a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and a National Historic Landmark. The multi-storied adobe buildings have been continuously inhabited for over 1000 years.
On June 12, 2008 we made history by being the only organization to be allowed to park INSIDE the walls at the Taos Pueblo. See photo.

Reminder:
Every Chapter has been sent a copy of their membership roster which should be checked for accuracy and returned to International HQ.
You may also notify the Office via email of any changes. As this is an election year, it's very important that this be done before 15 Sept to ensure that every member receives a ballot.
Ballots will be mailed out the first full week of November. Please encourage all of your Chapter members to vote & return the ballot.

From 29 Sep to 08 Oct 2008, the Irish 66rs will be making a run on rented bikes on Rt 66 from Chicago to LA to raise money for the Temple Childrens Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. The group consists of IRE I Blue Knight Members and other donors and is coordinated by Tom Cody from IL IX. Many Blue Knights have hooked up with them along the way the last 2 times they did this and they are looking forward to meeting some of you. I have had several members contact me to advise that some entries are not accurate.
If you are on the list, please check your listing. If you see someone there who is no longer a Blue Knights member, please have a Chapter or Conference Officer notify the webmaster so that he/she can be removed.

Pc Tony Pain, from Wales I, has been honoured with a Queen's Police Medal after 28 years of dedicated service to the communities of south Wales.
Pc Pain joined the force in 1979 and has spent his recent service working with diverse communities, predominantly in the Swansea division.
His work has included supporting victims of crimes, including racist and homophobic incidents as a Hate Crime Officer, and working with the Muslim community and migrant workers in his current role.
We are delighted that Her Majesty The Queen has chosen to bestow this honour to one of our own.

I wanted to thank all of the Blue Knights that came and rode in my father's (James W Smith Sr. Blue Knights v1 in Johnson City,TN) funeral procession. He was very proud to be a member and even after he had been hurt on his police bike and became disabled he always went to the mettings and helped the best he could. It ment alot to us to look back and see all the Blue Knights following us in honor of my father he would of loved it. I just wanted to let them know how much it ment to us and how thankful we are.

This service is available, at no charge of course, to the families, chapter members and friends of our brothers and sisters who eternally ride with pride.
Just send me graphics (jpg preferred) or text of eulogies, remembrances, anecdotes, etc. and I'll make a page and link from the name. If you prefer to write your own page, we can link to it either here or on your server.
I'd like to see a memorial page for every one of the 700 Heaven One members - They will not be forgotten!

These listings are for sanctioned chapter or conference events only.

International Headquarters has a toll-free line for prospective members to contact our organization and obtain information. The number is 1-877-BKI-LEMC (254-5362).
This is an expensive proposition but hopefully will result in the successful recruitment of new members. This number is not to be used for any other purpose, and calls to the number for any other reason will be ignored. Please comply.

A couple of users have written that they are unable to see changes in the various pages.
It turns out that they were reading cached copies (a page saved on your harddrive.)
Don't forget to hit "reload" or "refresh" in your browser window, especially for the pages that are changed often such as "Events" and "Chapters."
